General Questions

A njangi is an institution made up of members who decide to contribute their resources together for equal benefit of every member. It is an age-old African system of money management that is used to this day. A community-based system that has supported families through tough times, stretched meager incomes allowing parents to educate their children; giving others great opportunities to develop their lives without the total dependence on any banks or major financial systems.

With the Njangi App, you can create and manage an unlimited number of groups for free with each group having an unlimited number of members. Whether it is a group of friends, an alumni association or just a handful of family members, go ahead and create a group and start pooling resources together to help each other.

There is absolutely no cost to use the Njangi App. However, if you choose to make your njangi contribution payments via the app using credit card or Mobile Money, we charge a 5% service fee per transaction to cover the fees from the banks and mobile money providers. Disbursement of Payouts via CashApp or Zelle are free. Disbursements of Payouts via Mobile Money or MPesa shall cost a 2% charge.

The Njangi app is currently capable of 12 different currencies: USD, EUR, XAF, NGN, CDF, GBP, GHS, KES, MWK, RWF, TZS, UGX, XOF and ZMW. Covering 58+ Countries worldwide.

The payout order is randomly generated when the group admin starts the Njangi. Group admin cannot influence or change payout order. However, if for any reason payout order needs to change and agreed by all members, please contact our support for a manual change.
Privacy & Security

When you signup for an account, we collect your full names and email. This is used solely for the purpose of creating your account. We will never share or forward your information to third parties.

All instant messaging and video calls done within the app follow the industry standard for end-to-end encryption, whereby your communication is encrypted before it leaves your device, and is then only decrypted at the receiver's end.

Njangi App uses Stripe for all Credit Card payments. Stripe is the current leader for online credit card processing and the most secure. All card numbers are encrypted and processed at rest with AES-256 within the Stripe network. Njangi App does not store or process your credit card information.
